The aims of the lesson:

  • Educational (білімділік): to acquaint children with the new words, to practice the grammar material of the lesson, to enrich pupil`s knowledge about the structure “There is…, There are…”, to ask and answer questions.

Оқушыларды жаңа сөздермен таныстыру, грамматикалық тақырыппен жұмыс жасау, “There is…, There are…” құрылымы жөнінде білімдерін толықтыру, сұрақ қоюға және жауап беруге үйрету.

  • Developing (дамытушылық): to develop the student`s skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Оқушылардың оқу, жазу, сөйлеу және тыңдау қабілеттерін дамыту.

  • Bringing-up (тәрбиелілік): to cultivate interest in learning English, to teach children to respect each other.

Teacher:  Good afternoon, boys and girls. I am glad to see you today. Good afternoon, dear guests. Welcome to our lesson!

  1. Warming – up: Dear children, I hope that you are fine today. Now let`s answer for this question: How are you?

Now on your desks you can see pictures of different mood. You can choose one which really shows how you are felling at the moment.

And show us, please.

III. Checking the home work: ex1, p 66.

  • Now, OK. Thanks.
  • If you are ready for the lesson, let`s start.
  1. Presentation of the new theme:

Today our lesson will be unusual; we will do some tasks and play a game.

At first let`s repeat our previous lesson on theme “There is a house”.

  • Now, look at the blackboard.

Please give your own examples with pictures. (there is a cow, there is a pen, etc)

There is a cat, there is a dog, there is a cow, there are boys, there are bananas etc.

  1. Mister Parrot`s tasks.

-Now, tell me please: “Who is this?”

It is Mister Parrot.

Today we have a guest, it is Mister Parrot. He brings tasks for us. If we do it, we will reach to the Sun and sing a song.

The tasks are not so difficult. So, are you ready for Mister Parrot`s tasks.

There are 4 stations and tasks in it. They are:

  1. “Phonetics station”
  2. “Grammar station”
  3. “New words station”
  4. “Rebus station”

At first you should choose one of these types of transport.

Car, van, bus, train, plane, bike, motorbike, boat.

And the next close your eyes and imagine that you are going to the sun by your transport.

For.ex: It is Diana`s train.

It is Artem`s car.

And the 1st station is “Phonetics station”. The task is underline words in which letter A gives sound [æ].

Name, can, hat, cat, hand, man, cake, bag, rabbit, elephant, take, fat.

The 2nd  task  is “Grammar station”. Your  task is to  make 4 sentences with “There is…, There are…”.

The 3rd  task is “New words station”. Match pictures with words.

A game.

Who wants to play? I need a boy. Now I`ll explain how to play. I`ll close your eyes with a scarf. And  you must take from this box one thing and name it. ( apple, sweet, banana, pen, rubber, balloon, ruler)

And the last station is “Rebus station”.

VII. Conclusion.

It was our last task. You  are very clever pupils. We have reached to the Sun. Now let`s sing a song, “The Sun wakes up!”

So, our lesson is over. Your home tasks are  exercises 1, 2 at page 68 in workbook. Thanks for your attention.
