Then have pairs of students read out each dialogue.

Check students’ answers by having them complete the words on the board.

Activity 6 Exercise 6 Have the class look at the list. Check that students understand the vocabulary. Students use their Mini-dictionaries if necessary. Have two students read out the example sentences. Students work individually, writing sentences about the list. Look at the shopping list, choose some/any (write affirmative and negative sentences.)

Then they read out their sentences to their partner and compare answers before checking answers as a class.

Activity 7 Exercise 8 Have students look at the table in Exercise 8. Check that students understand the vocabulary by having them translate the words into their LI. Two students then read out the example dialogue to the class. Students then work in pairs, acting out dialogues like those in Exercise 4, using the things in the table.

Have some of the pairs act out one of their dialogues for the class to hear.

– Score one point for each correct word.
